Description coming soon. This two-sided adapter can be flush mounted in your benchtop (or any surface) using a 1/2″ template bit, and allows you to install your dust extractor under your bench and connect hoses from the benchtop. Thanks to Brian M. for suggesting it and co-developing it.
The corners are designed for a 1/2″ template bit (6.35mm/1/4″ radius). The plate is 15mm thick, and the mounting holes are designed for #8 pan head screws (pocket hole screws) to sit below the top surface (3mm/1/8″ recess). Use the plate to mark the four mounting holes, draw an X between them to locate the center, drill a 4″ hole in the center with a hole saw, then use a router to remove the rest (use double sided tape to fix four pieces of plywood or mdf strips to form the perimeter template while you have the plate on your bench to mark the holes). Installs the same way as a router lift insert.
