These are custom fit to your tool's port and stay on your tool. Your hose locks on magnetically and stays sealed.
Magnetic, airtight, and quick to swap. No clamps, no tape. Connect two hoses together? Yep, you can do that too.
Convert your vacuum or dust extractor port. This allows you to use multiple hoses with your vacuum.
Need to step down from a larger main line to a smaller hose? Keep airflow consistent without cobbled-together reducers.
REFERENCE GUIDE
Choose the right diameter for your tools, hoses, and vacuum units.
Standard 1-1/4″ diameter. Used for most small tool ports — sanders, routers, jigsaws, and compact extractors.
Mid-range 2-1/2″ diameter. Common on shop vacs, Milwaukee extractors, and medium-duty hoses.
Large 4" diameter. Used for dust collectors, large blast gates, and permanent shop duct systems.
Extra-large 6" diameter. Used for industrial dust collectors and central duct systems.

Dust and air always move toward the vacuum, so the male end of each connection faces that direction.

You can absolutely start with a single set of adapters and expand from there. Many customers start a single tool port adapter and a femaile adapter for their hose and end up expanding their systems from there.
HoseJoy adapters work with standard shop vac hoses from 7/8″ to 2-1/2″ outer diameter. If you’re unsure, measure the outer diameter of your hose and compare to our product specs or reach out to us in the chat or via email and we can help you out.
Yes — the neodymium magnets are strong enough to hold the connection under normal use, including when dragging the vacuum across a shop floor. They release with a slight twist and deliberate pull, not accidental tugs.
