The corners are designed for a 1/2″ template bit (6.35mm/1/2″ radius). The plate is 15mm thick, and the mounting holes are designed for #8 pan head screws (pocket hole screws) to sit below the top surface (3mm/1/8″ recess). Use the plate to mark the four mounting holes, draw an X between them to locate the center, drill a 4″ hole in the center with a hole saw, then use a router to remove the rest. Installs the same way as a router lift insert.
