This adapter will convert your Byrnes Model Machines thickness sander, table saw, disc sander, etc. to the HoseJoy system. They are designed to connect to our U2 series adapters, which utilize a larger (1.5-2.5-inch) hose.
Because there are obstructions on the outside of some of the Byrnes tools, this adapter fits on the inside of the tool port. It has a stepped ledge on the upper portion of the adapter that makes it the same outer diameter as the tool port, allowing you to apply a couple wraps of electrical tape to fix the adapter in place.
Alternatively, use a thin bead of silicone sealant on the outside of the HoseJoy adapter prior to inserting into the tool port.
